Howdy,
I am a Mac user, and I like playing games on my Mac. But for some reason, my in-game community (Shift+Tab Menu) isn't working properly so I can't talk to my friends while in the game. I am also unable to make in-game purchases because it is "turned off" for some reason. In my Steam preferences, the in-game community is checked on with the controls "Shift+Tab" to bring it up, but when I press "Shift+Tab", nothing happens. Is this happening to anyone else? But if it is only happening to me, please tell me how to fix it!!! It'd be much appreciated if I was able to chat with my friends again in-game. Thank you!
Try changing the key?
You have to enable 'access for assistive devices' in the Universal Access area of your system preferences in order for the overlay to work.
does anyone else have issues with steam opening its window by itself when you click on anything in the dock?

I have that already turned on, but it either takes a while for the overlay and messages and achievements to work, or I have to use application switcher between Steam and HL2_OSX multiple times, sooo....

No, but whenever I open Steam I get a little note saying something about my Safari browser not being up to date [it is] and that the community won't work in it.
