Anybody?
Use Fraps? Or tried changing Audio Devices?
Running which Windows? If you're on 7, use Camtasia 7 not 6.
Use Fraps? Haha Camtasia, what a joke. Camstudio
Haha Camtasia, what a joke. Camstudio
What's wrong with it?
Haha Camtasia, what a joke. Camstudio
Camstudio is the joke, the quality of it, I mean
Camstudio is awesome with Camstudio Lossless Codec. http://camstudio.org/CamStudioCodec14.exe The newest beta doesn't have a record-from-speakers option, but you can get around it by setting it to record from Stereo Mix in the settings. And none of the programs (Camtasia and Camstudio) are suitable for recording gameplay, you should use Fraps in that case. Camstudio is fine for desktop stuff and such otherwise.
So I bought it for nothing?
Well, try Camstudio out with the said codec for yourself.
Well, try Camstudio out with the said codec for yourself.
Ok i'll try it
Dunno if this is correct but I'm pretty sure it's caused by one of those faggoty music copyrighting companies bitching about people ripping songs using stereomix.
Stereo mix is probably grayed out because the speakers you are listening through are not hooked up to the soundboard (For example, if you have a USB headset like me) This I found very annoying, because I often use stereo mix Not anymore...could you tell us what you have plugged in to listen through? Also show us what the audio mix options sound like (or the vista equivalent)
Well, I can tell these are realtek speakers (I'm on a laptop by the way) and I don't have anything plugged in. And what do you mean with audio mix options? the volume mixer? I'm Dutch by the way so I don't really know :gonk:
Sorry for my bad explanation. What i mean is this: Could you perhaps send a screen shot of this window, and of the 'playback' tab too?

Right click the stereo mix and set it as default. Try camista then. Also, could you try playing some music or something (when you have set it to stereo mix) and check that the green bars move up as the song gets louder (I hope that makes sense) Then check the speakers are also doing the same.
Great, it works now. Thanks!
