It's 2.5gb for me.

It's exactly the same as SR3, except with more clothes/hairstyles and the obligatory Nolan North joke.

yeah just like how GRID 2 is the exact same as GRID except with more cars are different tracks.

It's a character creator, what do you expect from it?
It's a character creator, what do you expect from it?
That I can fully play the game, for free.
edit: some people didn't get that it was a joke.
That I can fully play the game, for free.
...What?
The lighting in the editor looks a lot better. In general, it seems like they overhauled the engine and it looks quite fantastic.
I was kind of hoping they would have done a actual demo rather than just release the character creator early and call that a demo. Yes, I say this even though its 94% likely to play exactly like Saints Row: The third.
Instant opinion: There's only about 20 new outfits and hairstyles. And the new taunts/compliments look like they were mocapped by a arthritic drunk guy. The voice pitch slider is brilliant though. But with barely any new content I'm surprised they even shipped this demo out, 80% of it is from the Initiation Station.
Don't hate me for this, it's just my opinion. I'm sure the game itself will offer lots of new content.

I don't know what you expect out of a character creator. They added clothes, outfits, Nolan North, a new voice for each gender, and more tattoos. It's not like they'll change things too drastically from a character creator that was already pretty good.

Not really an opinion, its painfully obvious most of this game is ripped straight from 3

They only added one new voice, for females, and removed the Hispanic voice for it. I think I'm just surprised considering the hype there is over the Inauguration Station. There just isn't enough stuff to justify this imo. Generally I'm happy with what we've got, however.

Didn't they remove the Russian voice? I swear Female 2 is Hispanic.
Female 2 and 3 from SR3 were removed and replaced with French and Black Southern voices.

Who cares? Reusing assets is something every developer does. Why would they remove all the clothing options from 3 anyway? They're simply adding on. Not a bad thing at all.

wow yeah mass effect reused assets for pretty much all 3 games. a lot of people like mass effect too, so does that make mass effect a legitimately bad game even though a lot of people swear by it?

Way to jump to conclusions of me insta hating the game when the word bad was not once in my post

I'm saying they didn't add enough on. In fact, If they removed the all of clothing from SRTT there would be about 10 torso options.
Oh and they seem to have removed the only face bandana in the game, which is kind of annoying, it was a pivotal part of my Hotdog Bandit character.

Mass Effect 1 and 2 are very different games, what are you on about
Mass Effect 1 and 2 are very different games, what are you on about
gameplay wise? yes. but you're an idiot to think Bioware didn't recycle the hell out of sound, model and texture assets

But I look at Saints Row IV and it just feels like a special case of reusing old assets, as in I don't think there is a single thing they didn't use from the third game, from the trailers and screenshots it looks like they literally took the entire game and just added shit from there
From a guy who's currently wearing a SR3 shirt this game looks incredibly lazy

It was pretty much the same way with SR1-SR2 so I don't know why it's suddenly bad.
Would you like it if Lego made small changes every time they released new blocks so you could only put new blocks on new blocks and all the old ones were effectively trash?

Resources bro. And there are many buildings in the world they took out and replaced.

well right now i am wearing a wal-mart shirt and i honestly cant wait for sr4
considering the enviroment that the game was released in, with THQ collapsing and going bankrupt, i understand if the game is reused
Actually your previous post about there being on 20 new hairstyles is wrong. There are 50 new hairstyles. As for clothing, it is more or less doubled.
Not all of the new hairstyles are good though. The 'Textured Afro' looks like a slab of meatloaf. And there is definitely not 100% more clothing in SRIV. Idolninja sounds like a used car salesman with the way he describes it. I'm not going to count them individually but half of that 'double' is a few T-shirts with logos on them, that probably no one will ever use.
Anyway, I'll stop now before I get too hung up on the lack of new content, because all the Inauguration Station is is a marketing tool used to generate hype and spread awarness of SRIV. It's a total non-event.
I think there are like over 10 new hats. I'm not really sure though, haven't played SR3 for a long time.
Looks like my dream of becoming a horseman in the demo finally came true.

I think I'm gonna pre order.
Also I couldn't help but notice there's a new male voice simply titled "Nolan North".
