I don't even know why someone would do this. It's not like AVGN has some epic story arc you could expand on so it just comes off as trying to capitalize on the fan recognition of the character. Using his jokes and making references is kinda cool but you simply can't rely on it to carry a game when the level design and gameplay are rather lackluster (and it absolutely looks like it).
I feel like this should have been some free game.
From what I've seen of the game it actually looks relatively decent, but I will admit the styling just feels all over the place.
Don't think it's worth 15 bucks thought. Maybe 4.99

Come on man, you just gave out half the dialogue in the game, spoiler tag that stuff.

Ironically it reminds me of the wayne's world game he reviewed.
If it's not a shitty game, it's not AVGN. He's all about the shitty games.
does this game support the Roll & Rocker controller

This game doesn't look that bad, but it doesn't look that great either.
I probably will buy it, cause it does look fun, but it just feels a bit all over the place.
This is basically like Abobo's Big Adventure, except harder, a little bit more content, and it's AVGN.
Might get this, if it was maybe $5 at least.
I don't even think James had that much input with the game. I think it was more of a client developer relationship rather than working alongside them to make it.
i remember when games like this were made in flash and free
Screwattack published the game, a group of people inside Screwattack made the game, James is still a big part of their site and hangs out with the guys there sometimes. During SGC, there was a panel for James and his video editor, and he completely supports this and thinks it's a good game. He doesn't work on it or anything, but he supports it.
Don't hate just because it's based on AVGN, the gameplay looks really good for what it is. Their goal of the game is to bring back the old-fashioned 2D platformers that were unforgiving and did no hand-holding.

But if that's what they're going for, it'd be so much more playable for non-fans if it was an actual homage instead of a self-insert fanfic to them.
I too think it's a tad bit overpriced but so are a lot of games. I'll probably just wait for a sale.
