The sad thing is that Capcom will now be more inclined to make action orientated games. RIP in pieces survival horror.
Ships being the keyword there.
Personally I think it looks alright, not something amazing but at least worth a playthrough. I knew it was going to be actiony from the get go though. The last good RE since 4 has been Revelations, 5 was kind of meh but not absolutely horrid like some people thought.
I don't really understand why. Barely saw any marketing, and the game never showed a specific theme. Even the other newer games had something distinctive about them, RE4 dark, moody Spanish forests, RE5 sharp contrasted Africa. This one is just... grey cities. RE fans don't like it, so what are the buyers attracted by?
Ships being the keyword there.
aka companies already paid for these copies to sell in stores
I don't understand why anyone likes resident evil games or movies. Shitty game play, no plot, stupid universe lore, and for being a horror action series it is neither scary or keeps me on the edge of my seat.
aka companies already paid for these copies to sell in stores
and then the companies sell back what they don't sell [editline]4th October 2012[/editline] There's a difference between 'sell-in' and 'sell-through'. Sell-through is what matters.

I enjoyed Resident Evil 5 for it's gameplay but it had a terrible plot and literally never even made me uneasy which is pathetic for a game that is supposed to be survival-horror. I agree with you when it comes to the movies though. They are terrible with the exception of Resident Evil: Extinction which wasn't too bad but still did not really have anything to do with Resident Evil sadly.
you agree with me mostly but think my post is dumb. okay.
Am I all wrong here, but didn't you say that you don't understand why anyone likes the games and the movies, and then he explained to you that every game up to RE5 was great? How is that agreeing?
you agree with me mostly but think my post is dumb. okay.
I rated you dumb because there is no rating for partial agreement. I didn't think that your entire post was dumb but just certain things such as
Shitty game play, no plot, stupid universe lore
Those three things are what made me rate it dumb because they do not really have any truth to them with the exception of the no plot but that only applies to RE5 and from the sounds of it, RE6. I'll just change it to disagree because I probably should have just done that to begin with.
I just got home from buying it tonight. I hope it's not as bad as everyone claims it is. The demo didn't impress me too much but I have a friend staying over for the weekend to splitscreen it. Nothing is bad in coop, right?
Its not as bad as everyone claims it to be- I thought it was pretty damn fun for the most part.
Resident Evil died with 5. Play 4 again, save 60$. If you don't have 4, buy it off XBLA or PSN, seriously you'll have way more fun. I played through the demo of 6 without firing a shot. Only using melee attacks. That's probably a very bad sign.
Quick Time Events: The Movie
This is going to fall flat on its face.

To me, it was mediocre and incredibly annoying at BEST. Regardless, this doesn't look great and RE6 will most likely fall flat.
:( more fighting games please capcom.
Quick Time Events: The Movie
If you look at the part in bold, you will see the base joke. This one is obvious to every reader. However, if you look at the unbolded section, you can see the underlying insult claiming it is a movie, this makes the joke twice as enjoyable and far less obvious which adds to that effect.
Dammit. Capcom can sell any piece of shit and still make a profit. This means that the resident evil frachise will be raped even more.
Apparently 4.5 million people are not very bright at choosing good video games.
Apparently 4.5 million people are not very bright at choosing good video games.
the vendors are buying these copies... next headline disgrutled fans burn down capcom's main office and replace it with a landfill full of copies of Resident Evil 6.
:( more fighting games please capcom.
after street fighter x tekken i'm not sure i want any more from them
The sad thing is that Capcom will now be more inclined to make action orientated games. RIP in pieces survival horror.
this is what they said about re4 fyi
seriously why can't they go back to the old games? i bought RE2 on psn and it's really fucking fun even if you need to either be psychic or have a guide to not suck at the game running around everywhere for hours finding where to hang the paisly necktie that triggers a pressureplate that drops a key then run around to every door, find a room full of zombies and that keycard for some fucking door that was locked and all the way back at the beginning. of the game. [editline]4th October 2012[/editline] but yeah despite the slow mechanics and shitty combat it all worked really well even though it was clunky and slow. now a days you'd be hard pressed to find an adventure mechanic like anything from the good old horror games. re1, 2 and 3 and silent hill 1, 2 and 3... i have not played SH the room but i can say RE4 is much more of an action packed semi survival game. i blame call of duty and halo
The better resident evil game came out this year on the 3DS imo

Nothing is bad in coop, right?
Doing the same thing this weekend, having a blast so far People who bashed it have only played the demo, which is rather short and unlike the actual game. Oh and for the split screen, the first level can only be played solo, but it's not very long. After its done the real menu pops up and you can select a campaign and set it to splitscreen
Me and my brother bought it not expecting much just to go through coop and have some laughs like we did with resi 5. After two hours of playing we found ourselves going back to resi5 and I'm currently re-playing resi4 .. It's just a bad game. As a resident evil game it's bad and doesn't fit, as a standalone game there just isn't enough to keep you interested. I miss gun customization and all that.
