• Sound corruption (or something)

when i open a folder or do basically anything within windows i'm greeted with a buzzing noise rather than the regular windows sound, also if i'm watching a youtube video (or doing anything with sound) and close the tab or go to a new page i'll get a sort of effect where it sounds like the sound is freezing for 1-2 seconds when i restart my pc it'll be fine for a while but after a bit, usually after playing a game and then exiting, it'll start again i've tried to record the sound but the first 3 programs i tried wouldn't work and then i tried bandicam and that's where things got even more interesting, when using bandicam to record the sound corruption stops but as soon as i stop the recording the sound corruption resumes i've gone into the sound panel and i've tested all the sounds and they sound find when i test them as well i haven't done anything with my sound drivers but i did recently replace my amd card with a nvidia card, i uninstalled the amd drivers before i installed the nvidia card and all that, and i didn't install the nvidia hd audio drivers but this problem didn't start when i got my new card, it started maybe a day or two afterwards any ideas? it's starting to drive me crazy
What sound card are you using? The on-board motherboard one? Your video card's HDMI? A PCI sound card? Try switching which one you're using, or verify that the one you're using's audio drivers are the right ones and are up-to-date.
figured it out, it's related to Shadowplay turning it off then back on fixes the sound corruption, though it eventually returns just have to report it and wait for a fix
