Samsung LN46C750, not even a day old and it's already fucking busted

So my Samsung LN46C750 w/ two 3D glasses bundle arrived yesterday from Tigerdirect. Sans the bundled 3D glasses (F***ing Tigerdirect). I spent the better part of yesterday calibrating, mounting, talking to Tigerdirect trying to get my damn glasses, re-routing wires, hooking up the sound system etc for this thing. 240Hz, Allshare, web apps, all that good shit at my fingertips.
Fortunately my Shrek 3D starter kit from Amazon had arrived last week, so I did get to toy around with 3D a bit when I was done. The movement in 3D's a bit iffy, but whether my PS3, the glasses, or the TV was to blame for that I don't know. But still images in 3D were absolutely jaw dropping.
Then I hooked it up to my computer and fiddled around with it a bit. Absolutely beautiful, Crysis and TF2 were crisp, Bioshock seemed like a whole new game. Plugged it back into my monitor and set up a DLNA connection between the TV and my computer and tried streaming a few 1080p movies. No lag or quality loss, worked perfectly.
I wake up this morning and go to the living room to watch some golf I had on the DVR. 10 minutes later, darkness. The screen just goes black, but I still hear what's going on. I take a flashlight and desk lamp to the screen, and there's still a picture, but it's damn near impossible to see.
The f***ing backlight's already out. I haven't had the damn thing ONE DAY and it's already FUBAR. On Christmas Eve no less. Samsung isn't going to have anyone available to repair or replace this damn thing until at least Monday.
Moral of the story: f***ing Tigerdirect.
i never trust UPS/fedex with anything easily broken or over <600$, i would rather pick it up myself and know it wasn't dropped 7 feet 15 times
I share your pain. My Panasonic LCD started only sporadically turning on three weeks after my warranty expired.
Works fine, but the power on procedure often involves four steps and 30 seconds

So you're saying it's tigerdirect's fault that Samsung made a faulty product. I totally see the logic in that.
merry christmas bro

It might not even be Samsung's fault, it could be the shipper's fault.

On the third day of Christmas an unknown force gave to me:
Three busted controllers
Two missing glasses
And an already broken TV.
I've never had bad luck with package delivery people. The guy that always delivers my packages, he's a rather old African immigrant that has awesome stories. I mean, the packages may be late, but people don't mind, and they are never busted.

My brother once received a laptop from Newegg that had already been opened. I got a pair of headphones where the microphone boom was snapped off in shipment. I had to pay shipping for a replacement too!
