• Counter-Strike: Global Offensive dropping my internet connection

This is going to sound weird and unlikely to most of you, but CS:GO drops my connection to the internet. It's not always a problem, most days it won't happen at all, some day's it'll happen only a few times, and some days it'll be a problem the entire day. Basically I'll start up the game and begin playing, and in anywhere for 5 to 20 minutes in, I'll time out for a split second, connect back for a split second, then time out all the way and lose connection from the server, and connection to the rest of the internet, like my browser, teamspeak, steam etc. I'll still be connected to my router but just no internet access, and it stays that way ONLY until I unplug my wifi adapter and plug it back in, or troubleshoot it on my computer and it resets the adapter manually, and then it's immediately good again. Mind you it doesn't drop anyone else who's using the internet, it's only me. And the strange part is, it will ONLY occur if I'm playing CS:GO. The only time it has ever occured has been while I'm playing it, and I've even tested it, I can go on for hours without any issues at all, I can play any other game on my computer and I will have no issues whatsoever. I've tried using a different wifi adapter, I've tried restarting my computer, I've tried reinstalling CS:GO, I've tried reinstalling steam, I've tried reinstalling windows and it still happens. Usually I can expect it to occur only a few times and then give me a grace period of a few days but today it's been non-stop while I try to play, which is why I'm having to ask for help now. And before it comes up, my internet and my ISP is good, and so is my connection to the router. There's nothing wrong with it, and other people on my network don't get this issue. It only occurs if CS:GO specifically is being played. Please help me, it's a strange, unpredictable and random problem and it's getting ridiculous.
Have you tried to connect your machine directly to the router and see what happens? Does any other person in the network plays CS:GO or any other SOURCE games? I've had a somewhat similar problem with the Insurgency mod a few years ago, every time I would try to join a game the router would reset itself, I tried opening ports and moving the internal configuration but it was in vain, in the end I got rid of the problem by changing the router, but I don't know if that's really feasible for you. As a side note, I lose connection to Titanfall matches when somebody else is already playing TF2 on the same network, seems like the source engine netcode doesn't like cheapish routers
Running a cable from my computer to the router isn't an option for me unfortunately. Nobody else has been playing CS:GO or any other source game, although I could have them try to, but it'd be hard as the issue is highly unpredictable. I played the game a whole bunch last night, about a day after I posted this when the issue had began to occur frequently, and it never happened, I was able to play for hours without timing out, but then it happened again today. One thing to note is it appears to only happen when I'm playing in a multiplayer server, like casual or competitive, but if I play with bots or just sit at the menu, it won't happen.
Sound like an old CSS problem. Used to be a fairly common issue expecially when searching for servers. If it is what I'm thinking of its actually an issue with your router. If I recall you could fix it by reducing your tickrate or something along those lines. If that isn't it search for some old posts for CSS with the same issue and see if you can find the fix.
