• Rediscovering poptarts as an adult

I'm getting back into poptarts as an adult after not eating them since I was in middle school and things have changed since then. Now there's a whole plethora of flavors and I don't know which ones are the best or the worst. I obviously can't buy every single one of them to sample either so that blows. Right now I'm trying the two Dunkin Donut flavors they have and they're pretty good. Likewise, the A&W one makes me want to spew chunks into a sink. Anyone got any recommendations or suggestions?

Off-brand poptarts are my guilty pleasure [t]http://i.walmartimages.com/i/p/00/03/07/00/15/0003070015920_500X500.jpg[/t]
Just stick to the smores or cinnamon ones. They're my guilty munchies pleasure.

imo the most of the berry flavors are fucking rancid. the smores and cinnamon ones are okay if you don't overeat them poptarts are really fucking sugary, so for me they get disgusting fast. some flavors get disgusting slower than others
I've only ever tasted the generic version of them. I would love to taste the actual pop tart brand, though I have to say the generic is damn good too.

The icing is laid on way too thick and the crust itself is harder than an actual pop-tart. it overwhelms the filling as well. as for actual pop-tarts, i am partial to smores and cookie dough but when it comes to fruit flavored ones blueberry works as well as Wild Berry. What are these "pop tarts" ???
What are these "pop tarts" ???
the best breakfast/dessert in-a-box pastry that you can easily slot into a toaster. generally consists of 3 parts: crust, icing, filling. i imagine they originally started more as a generic tart as opposed to what they are today
What are these "pop tarts" ???
I believe we also have them here in the UK... Not that I have tried any though :v:
We used to have them here in Australia but they stopped selling them about 15 years ago.
Anyone remember the frozen ones?
I've only ever tasted the generic version of them. Poptart's crust is very dry, crumbly, and tasteless, they lay on the frosting a little too thinly, and the fillings don't taste as good. The off-brand is just right on all of those aspects.

weird story but used to keep one of the single wrapped from my school breakfast in my back pocket all day. last class I would eat an ass warmed poptart.
I tried a poptart once, I got diabetes the next day and had to go on dialysis for 3 years before they found me a replacement kidney. Poptarts, not even once.
The brown cinnamon sugar ones taste like 2004 and I hate them so very much and would rather take a cooking class lead by whatsherfaceka Trump than eat another one. They're okay, I guess, but good fucking god I ate one every fucking morning from 2004 to 2008 and I HATE THEM SO MUCH NOW UGH I CAN'T EVEN SMELL THEM
There were these maple bacon ones I had a while ago, but part of me thinks they were limited time only. They were intensely fucking good though, could actually taste a bit of bacon. Don't think it had actual bacon in it however, that'd be weird and kinda gross. Could taste the "maple" part more than anything else. But if they still have them, I suggest you try them.
I often chuck these in the toaster at work, they taste so damn good (but makes everyone in the office hungry :v:) [t]https://i.ytimg.com/vi/M-t3pet3mhc/maxresdefault.jpg[/t]

lived on strawberry when I was away at college since it was the cheapest thing the school store sold. Gotta say, despite the name, toasting is the worst thing you could do to them.
My only experience with a pop-tart was at my sister's house and it was stale from an open box and tasted like cardboard.
lived on strawberry when I was away at college since it was the cheapest thing the school store sold. Loved when you'd get one with like 1/3 the frosting actually applied
I was quite fond of these back when they were around. [t]http://dinosaurdracula.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/pt1.jpg[/t]

I really need to try more flavors! All we ever get is strawberry because everyone in the house likes it but I wanna taste other kinds. Also has anyone tasted those Orange Crush/Root Beer poptarts? It sounds disgusting but I'm curious.
