I save 20%
Spend 30% on things I want
Spend 50% on things I need
How about you facepunch?
psh, saving money
I buy SAVING BONDS!
I love those things, you get money just by waiting 5-8 years.
But other then that I usually spend as I get. Saving about 20% of it for gas.
I always save, and spend a little bit on things that I want (while the 70% saved I would use on essentials, not all of it of course :))

I think it's only in Canada, I know the states did do it at one point in time but they stopped...I think anyways.
I spend most of it. I have a steady income and about $2k in my savings account. Within the first few months of my getting a job I saved a lot. Then summer came around and the impulse buying came in full force. Hasn't stopped since. I've been gradually climbing up to $2k in my savings and then I buy something outrageous. Save back up to about $2k, then spend again.
