• Help Pick a Power Supply

Here's my specs. AMD Phenom Q9550 2.2Ghz Quad Core AMD 790FX Motherboard ATI Radeon 4870 X2 2GB Windows 7 Home Shitty McShithole The power supply I currently have is a 1000W. I am not really smart about power supplies so I kind of need help. This one is dying, it goes out if I play anything as intense as a calming game of TF2.
Define "goes out"? Have you made sure your computer isn't overheating or another component like a video card or RAM isn't faulty?

That sounds like it could just be overheating, check your temps with HWmonitor (http://www.cpuid.com/hwmonitor.php) and make sure you record your idle temps as well as the temps you get when the machine is doing something strenuous like a game.
Why do you even have a 1kW PSU?

From my knowledge, a Q9550 is a Intel C2Q series processor, and will not work on an AMD chipset, at all. To the rest of your ticket, I suggest cleaning out dust inside the processor and updating drivers.
Your computer will shut off if it gets too hot. Check temps of the CPU and GPU. Clean dust and rearrange cables inside and check for blocked/broken fans.
