what...that friend list looks EXACTLY like steam
Thats like saying the Galaxy Nexus is a iphone.
Hmm how do you get it to update?
Hmm how do you get it to update?
You give them your social security number and any active credit cards you may have.
You give them your social security number and any active credit cards you may have.
I've already done that. I have 3 pre-ordered games atm :v:
Upon looking at the store preview image in the article. It reminds me of going to the pc section of Walmart. Just with less Warcraft expansions.
It updated but it looks exactly like it did before. Fuck. [editline]17th July 2012[/editline] WAIT, THERE IS A CHANGE! It's now called "Origin-försläpp" instead of "Origin-Beta" Success!
9.0.... I remember the days when major version numbers meant something....
It's not steam, therefore it's shit.
It still runs like fucking shit and misses options like where the fuck you would like to download game content from and stuff like that.
They've changed the UI and name of this program so many times I lost track.
Oh look... another Origin update to break BF3... :suicide:
Look! Look! We revamped the UI! Does Steam ever revamp the UI? Hardly ever! Send us your money now please!
misses options like where the fuck you would like to download game content from and stuff like that.
Do you mean changing download regions?
Look! Look! We revamped the UI! Does Steam ever revamp the UI? Hardly ever! Send us your money now please!
Jesus christ, do you actually believe that's their reason for doing it? Fucking stupid if you do.
what...that friend list looks EXACTLY like steam
It's a friends list how the hell do you make it not look like Steam? I could take this a step further and say Steam is ripping off Gtalk and Skype and AIM.
Jesus christ, do you actually believe that's their reason for doing it? Fucking stupid if you do.
Relax, I was just making fun of the people who tie in everything they do to hating Steam. :v:
It still runs like fucking shit and misses options like where the fuck you would like to download game content from and stuff like that.
Uses less memory and downloads faster than Steam does for me v:v:v
Origin isn't the worst one of these types of software but I just can't stand the company behind it. If I had to pick the worst it would be either GFWL or Gamefly's client.

It took me literally 15 minutes to fix GFWL when I brought Bioshock 2 the other day.
It's a step in the right direction. I like Origin because it's a bit faster than Steam. That's all though. They really need to step it up.
Hmm how do you get it to update?
$5.00 DLC and for an extra $2.00 they'll even transfer your fiends list to the new update.

The only reason I dislike steam is because it is a sluggish mess. Hit the community tab, sends me over to the store and takes a whole minute to actually go to the community page. Same thing happens with the store, etc. Moving to the games tab freezes the client for a second before loading the tab.

They should change it back to the original way they did it, where Store was completely separate from Community.
what...that friend list looks EXACTLY like steam
that's what they all look like dude come on
Aw jeez when will ea learn. Changing the ui so its like steam won't make more people come.

Games can be set to be saved wherever (such as on a different drive) and migrating games is as easy as moving the folders around and letting Origin check the re-data integrity. Whereas in Steam the games are all saved in "steamapps" (which you need folder linking to work around) and their status is decided by some weird registry files that you need to move if you want to manually migrate data.
what...that friend list looks EXACTLY like steam
A list looks like a list? Holy shit someone contact trading and standards EA has clearly ripped off one of Valves lists!!!!!!
