• Completely disable VIVO Tab/Windows 8 Auto brightness

Hi I have a new VIVO Tab running native windows 8 (not RT) and I have been able to disable the auto brightness function through the control panel so it no longer uses the sensor BUT in dim light you can still notice the screen getting very slightly darker and lighter depending on what is on screen. I would shrug it off but the problem is I use the tablet in the dark on the dimmest setting often and when you have the setting this low the screen will get a little bit brighter to the smallest of changes, even as much as pressing a key on the on-screen keyboard will cause the screen to get brighter for as long as the key on the keyboard remains white (whilst holding or tapping) so you end up with a pulsing screen as you type, very annoying. I basically just wanted to know if I can completely turn off this automatic adjustment as it's more noticeable than I think Asus or Microsoft intended. I've turned off the main auto adjust but I can't find an option even within the advanced power options to disable it fully. Thanks.
The sensor might be in Device manager, try disabling it if it is there.
