who should I trust? Spotify or Norton? :P
It's a false positive, I got this recently too. Just disable norton for a while and update the virus library. Or make the better choice by getting AVG.
Im using a old version of norton.
it is a virus you must kill yourself
Odd directory to install Spotify in though, I'm guessing you set that manually.
Odd directory to install Spotify in though, I'm guessing you set that manually.
No it's not? :P Progam folder for programs right? :P
mothing has come up on my AV about spotfiy, as said above, It's a positive negative
Im using a old version of norton.
There are two things wrong here.
No it's not? :P Progam folder for programs right? :P
Programs usually install to the "Program Files" folder by default. [editline]11:04AM[/editline] Also what is a "positive negative"? Another name for false positive that I've never heard before?
Programs usually install to the "Program Files" folder by default.
Actually, I remember when I used windows 2000 or perhaps it was 98... anyway, then it only set to Program by default not program files
Actually, I remember when I used windows 2000 or perhaps it was 98... anyway, then it only set to Program by default not program files
I barely remember those days... I hope the OP isn't stuck that far in the past :ohdear:
I've used a swedish and and a enginsh version of Xp and the program folder have always been default for me..
AVG gave me this a few days ago. Don't worry, probably just one of the new elements they've included thats similar to one. It's not a virus.
My AVG did this a while back every time I tried to play a song on Spotify, I just added it to exceptions list.
It's a positive negative, I got this recently too. Just disable norton for a while and update the virus library. Or make the better choice by getting AVG.
Let's call it a false positive, shall we?
This 'engisnsh', what is that? I have never heard that before.
This threads spelling confuses me. But I think that is not a virus. Do a scan with Avast if you really are too worried.

This is their website: http://www.spotify.com/en/ Make sure you got it from that site, and nowhere else. Also, if you can avoid it then don't use Norton.
Is it really in C:\program? Maybe it's a trojan disguising as Spotify.
Stop using norton.
Norton, the AV viruses are designed to bypass. :v: Seriously though, that thing blows off false positives all the time.
Don't use Norton?
get rid of norton, get this http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/
Or this http://www.avast.com/index
I think AVG is pretty cool.
who should I trust? Spotify or Norton?
NEVER trust norton
Im using a old version of norton.
Get Avast! or MS Security Essentials then. You won't regret it.
get rid of norton, get this http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/
Rated funny.
Rated funny.
Say what you like, we've found MSSE to be better than AVG.
