I'm looking for a tablet with a pressure sensitive stylus for quick doodling
I've been looking at the ASUS VivoTab Note 8 and Nvidia SHIELD

As far as I can tell, the SHIELD has better specs for $20 more, but The VivoTab has a pretty decent Wacom stylus (I don't know the specs of the SHIELD's stylus)
buy monoprice
Well... that has absolutely nothing that I'm looking for but... uh... I'll keep that in mind...

I'm looking for something I can bring to lecture and doodle in bed with, but I suppose if there's a really amazing tablet for a reasonable price I can just move my monitor around
Vivo tab has full version of Windows which is nice, but the processor and screen are bleh at best, meanwhile the SHIELD has a 1080p screen and the graphics power of last gen consoles, which isn't bad for mobile but runs Android. I would say if you don't mind android over windows, go for the SHIELD.
I wish I could get those specs with Windows since my knowledge about drawing programs on Windows is already dubious at best

On Android, Sketchbook by Autodesk is pretty good, has layer support and all kinds of different brushes

I'd get it if I knew what kind of levels of pressure sensitivity the stylus had, instead of "it has it"
(and i also kinda wanna play osu and osu!droid isn't very good)
On top of one of those tablets, I would recommend looking around the local craigslist for used Wacom tablets. You can typically get one for $30-40 and they're rather high quality PC tablets with no drawing lag. Otherwise, between those two it pretty much just boils down to whether you want a somewhat gimped Windows 8 or a quality Android platform for drawing.

Really? I mean yeah it doesn't do video backgrounds, but the gameplay will be better than on a low power Windows tablet
Well if that's it, then I guess I'll buy the SHIELD at the end of the week
