Oh, so that's the company that bought it. Hope they don't dlc the fuck out of it.
Oh boy I can't wait to buy all the planes for $4k
"Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition" Wait what, this is the first I've heard of this. I might have to rebuy it depending on the price.

Will it work for Windows 8 is the question
Will it work for Windows 8 is the question
It works on windows 8, you just need UIAutomationCore.dll https://www.dropbox.com/s/fphnsdakc58tgsg/UIAutomationCore.dll Throw that into the fsx folder and that fixes it all up.
Because it was just announced?
I only skimmed over the article, I thought that it has been announced earlier since this was about the new game.
Oh fuck this The game is going to launch. On launch it's going to have a Cessna 172, 737, 747, a Bell helicopter of some kind, a biplane nobody has heard of before, and that's it. That's going to be it. They're going to charge $5, $10, maybe $15 per additional singular plane, and these planes are going to be available practically from launch. Shitlisting this before it even comes out.
Oh boy I can't wait to buy all the planes for $4k
The way Flight Sim really works, if they go the actual Flight Sim route and not the casualized meant to be played on a controller route, is you buy the game, and there's infinite addons you can download for free, some shit, some good, some fucking amazing, and the really good ones that are true to life are the ones that cost money, like PMDG or Level D, but those planes are for serious simmers, along with scenery. Paid DLC for Flight Sim? Completely useless, pointless, probably worse than a freeware addon. And all of it is 3rd party, not from the makers of Flight Sim But I didn't care for FSX, and certainly don't give a shit about that Flight bullshit. FS9 (2004) is my MSFS of choice, and I've been playing them since 5. Until FLIGHT, which doesn't fucking count as a MSFS, Flight Sim was basically like Skyrim with mods. Whatever you wanted, you can download for free off of Flightsim.com or Simviation or whatever. Even FSX doesn't do DLC, it just does addons. Infinite addons.
I did some interviews with some hardcore Train Simulator fans with upwards of 1,000 hours in the game (it sounds silly, I know,) and from what I hear, Dovetail Games is not someone you want to be working on a game you actually care about. If you're interested I have an article on it here (plug, I know, but in this case it's very much related.)
