What if they're all trying to ruse eachother
"MOBILE IS THE FUTURE!" and when the other companies that listen to them believe them (hypothetically) they come out and go "hey guys guess what check out all these PC and console games"

It does confuse me why PC gamers get neglected.
PC has no real limit, we can upgrade to get better.

It does have limits. The advantage is the limit being raised constantly instead of every 5 to 8 years as is the case with consoles.
Sounds good, as long as they're quality games :)
I think this is mainly due to the increase in popularity of Unity and Unreal engine. It's considerably easier nowadays to develop a game in one of these engines , stick it on steam and use the cash to fix the issues with porting to ps4 / xb1. It's a good time to be a developer.

I think the reason is that not only are our expectations and hardware superior to most consoles, but that the superiority of PC would mean less copies sold on consoles where Microsoft and Sony and Nintendo have more control and a bigger slice of the pie for themselves. And that scares them.
Its a boom, which inevitably lead to a crash.
Don't get your hopes up, its like the Tech Boom going on in the Eastern US, a crash is imminent.
