Great, just as all these big names "start focusing on mobile because it's the future" a stat like this is released.

It does confuse me why PC gamers get neglected. PC has no real limit, we can upgrade to get better.

Sounds good, as long as they're quality games :)
I think this is mainly due to the increase in popularity of Unity and Unreal engine. It's considerably easier nowadays to develop a game in one of these engines , stick it on steam and use the cash to fix the issues with porting to ps4 / xb1. It's a good time to be a developer.

PC has no real limit, we can upgrade to get better.[/QUOTE] I think the reason is that not only are our expectations and hardware superior to most consoles, but that the superiority of PC would mean less copies sold on consoles where Microsoft and Sony and Nintendo have more control and a bigger slice of the pie for themselves. And that scares them.
Its a boom, which inevitably lead to a crash. Don't get your hopes up, its like the Tech Boom going on in the Eastern US, a crash is imminent.
