My friend want to buy a computer for gaming for around 400-500(£). He using a Website to help building it and he wants to use it to play games like - Call of duty - team fortress 2 - GTAiV and new games like blink and bulletstorm but he dose not mind running them on mid setting @ 40-60 FPS So far the website as produced a good build and I think it can run some of these, just thought I'd get your oppintion first and maybe you can help him replace some parts with others. This is the Website: http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/ He can get it to around £474 Here are some of the specs: Processor (CPU): AMD ATHLON II X4 640 (3.00GHz/2MB CACHE/AM3) Memory (RAM): 4GB SAMSUNG DDR3 DUAL-DDR3 1333MHz (2 X 2GB) Graphics Card: 1GB ATI RADEON™ HD 5770 PCI EXPRESS - DirectX® 11 Power Supply: 450W Quiet 80 PLUS Dual Rail PSU + 120mm Case Fan Cooling : SUPER QUIET 22dBA TRIPLE COPPER HEATPIPE CPU COOLER (He's got a OS and monitor, keyboard & mouse) Just some of the main one, you can ask for more, but it comes to £474 Thanks in advance!
Remove the CPU cooler (The one that's included with the CPU's fine) and swap the PSU with this: Edit: Ooohhh.. It's a prebuilt. Don't buy a prebuilt.
PSU sucks. Get someone to handbuild it that doesn't overcharge.
Power Supply : 600W Quiet 80 PLUS Quad Rail PSU + 120mm Case Fan is that better? do you know of a website that i could use that does not overcharge? (for uk)
http://scan.co.uk Great prices, okayish support. I ordered my last build from them, the CPU cooler came faulty and they gave me some troubles whilst trying to get a replacement. I was a little off-put by the insane charges if you RMA a non-faulty product, so I went and bought a £30 cooler and it worked fine.
build it yourself/himself if you're not confident, use Scan and you can pay like 15 quid and they'll replace parts even if you fuck up if you don't know how, learn
He is lazy and doesnt want to build it himself
tell him to fuck off then, if he can't be bothered to build why should we be bothered to help him
tell him to fuck off then, if he can't be bothered to build why should we be bothered to help him
Only reason to get a prebuilt is if you want a very, very cheap computer ($300 USD with OS). Any other reason can be debunked easily.
Don't get an Athlon X4, compared to the Phenom X4s with the level 3 cache, it's not worth it imo. And a Phenom doesn't cost that much more.

He said, he will attempt to build it, but can you go on a website (UK) and make one under 500(£) that would be great.
http://scan.co.uk okayish prices, Great support.
Fix'd
https://www.aria.co.uk/WishList/pJD2lA7Dw-92GBdw8e1_og,, £473 with VAT + shipping. Edit: https://www.aria.co.uk/WishList/xrkxCQh3raWkPqFHYJ15Qg,, The price jumps up to £496 if you get normal prices. (Aria does these things called "SuperSpecials" which have limited stock, and are a bit cheaper, which is what most of the first build is made up of)
