SO I am trading in 2 nokia 5800 xpressmusic phones, for either Legend, mini or milestone(the one with the slide up). I am having a hard time thinking which to get, Android or windows 7? And touchscreen or keypad? If anyone is using any of these phones now, please tell me your experience. And milestone is my last option. I want something with quite alot of apps.
Well, the Android Market has a wealth of apps, and most of them are free. I suggest you go with the Milestone because from my experience, the Legend is laggy because it has HTC Sense and it will receive Android system updates slower than other phones. And the Milestone already has the Froyo 2.2 update which enables the phone to use Adobe Flash Player to view flash content on the web. It also has a faster processor than the Legend.

I don't think sense makes it any more laggy. But i'd get the milestone out of these, as I suppose the Legend is quite out of date, but OP what the hell do you mean by mini?

I imagine he's talking about the phone thats launching in Q3 with Android 2.1. http://www.softsailor.com/news/33878-motorola-droid-mini-with-portrait-sliding-qwerty-spotted-in-the-wild.html
I'd say get a Droid. I have one, and I am very impressed. 2.2 has made it even better. :)

Sense makes the phone laggy if it does not have a powerful enough processor (i.e Legend, Hero), so I don't really recommend getting the Legend. I have a HTC Hero myself and I am very happy with it after i flashed a vanilla android ROM which made it much faster and smoother. I really recommend the Milestone/Droid, my friend has it and it sure as hell is fast and it has a very good sturdy build as well.

Nope, never get a Windows Mobile phone. From my experience, it's very laggy and there aren't many apps for it. Maybe if you were getting a HD2, then all that could be excused for its large screen but since you aren't getting one, I really suggest you get a Milestone.
I have a legend and it's awesome
Windows mobile is a so-so operation system compared to android. Go with the Milestone, you won't be disappointed.
Windows Mobile is fine with a UI swap. I've got an Omnia 2 using SPB Mobile Shell and it's quite nice, and responsive. Only gripe with the phone is that there's almost 0 in the way of useful or fun apps.
