• Laptop suddenly freezes and stops booting

Well, it was a matter of time until this god-awful piece of shit gave out on me. Here's the whole story: I was visiting my grandparents for my grandma's birthday, she got a kindle as a birthday present and I spent the time installing morrowind for the 80th time. After it finally installed with some graphical tweaks. I alt-tabbed out of morrowind to transfer some perfectly legal ebooks for my grandmother and when I returned to morrowind. Poof. My laptop exploded into a stuttered screen of the boat and froze. When I went to restart it, it refuses to boot now. The power LED lights up and the CD drive actually turns on for a bit and then nothing. I've already tried switching around the RAM. The battery does charge with the power supply. So, with the research I did, there are two possibilities. 1. The DC jack is pissed off 2. My video card is pissed off I don't think it's the DC jack because I would assume that if that was the problem, the battery wouldn't charge. I don't know for sure if that's exactly how it works. So, that leaves the video card, The bombtasic Xpress 1150 of the more bombtasic inspiron 1501 I understand it's an intergrated graphics card. The question: Do I have any hope left for this thing or should I just build a new computer?
sounds like something overheated very badly, it's probably dead.
