I just got this random e-mail.

I translated it using Google:

Apparently my Gmail account is being used to send Chinese spam? I don't get how this is possible. I don't sign up for anything with my gmail (that's what my shitty hotmail account is for) and I've never been dumb enough to give out my password or anything. Just in case I just changed all of my passwords, but I'm still kind of freaking out about this.
In my sent messages there are four e-mails like this. Two of them returned errors like this one but the other two went through.
I've checked some of their help pages, but none of the issues address my problem. Annoyingly I can't figure out how to get in touch with Google about it. I don't want them to shut down my account for sending spam or anything, and the "Report Bug" button isn't working in Gmail. Any ideas?
At the bottom of the page, you should see something like this:
Last account activity: 29 minutes ago on this computer. Details
If you click the details, it brings up a window displaying the IPs that have been logged into your gmail account. If you see any from China, that pretty much confirms it.
As long as you changed your password, you should be fine.
All the "last account activity" entries were definitely legitimate. The weird thing is that the FAQ says that they usually label these mails as Spam, but these showed up in my "Sent" folder.

Because it was sent, not received.
Change your password. Maybe you signed up for a site and they took your info?
Happened to my sister too. Weird.
It seems china are hacking random email accounts, this is the third dude on FP in two months.

Some spammers "bounce" mail off of your account so that it looks it was sent by you but actually wasn't. These show up in your Spam folder and not your Sent. I've had these for a while, but none of them have ever made it through the Spam filters I guess.
hehe mr. wang

Maybe these didn't bounce but were sent directly?

Hey, they are sending emails right? Write a Email, translate it, then send it, fuck with those Chinese hackers.
Also, My Gmail is safe right now, but, i'm going to transfer all my billing and crap that has paypal and stuff to my websites emailbox.
My gmail suddenly stopped, first it said it was with another account but when I tried to reset the password it said no gmail account was connected with this email adress. Also, send a translated email.
Gawd this happening to me too and this is the third thread I saw.

Unsettlingly, I only just got the warning that my account was accessed from China. I logged out all my other accounts and changed my password again.

I don't think they will. They say that they keep a record of where you "usually" log in from, so they can tell when your account is being used by someone else.
