When i try to record something with stereo mix, it doesn't pick up any sound. I've downloaded realtek drivers, ect and nothing works.
My motherboard is: lanparty (not sure if it integrated in it)
Will buying a cheap sound card fix this?
It depends on the sound card. I bought one and it didn't even have Stereo Mix as an option.
(I think, though, that most new sound cards don't have Stereo Mix because of copyright stuff or something. Don't hold me to that.)
Microsoft removed it in Vista/7. The only way to get it is if your drivers explicitly allow for it.
It may be called something different. Mine is called "Rec. Playback".
