I do so quite a bit. I find it relieves stress and helps when reflecting on things.
Yes, I unfortunately talk to myself a lot too.
No, I do not. edit: Unless thinking out loud counts
And I thought I was insane.
Yes I do.
You're not crazy if you talk to yourself, you're crazy if you get an answer.
I find it helps you to structure something, say for example if you were pissed off at somebody and you wanted to shout something logical at them. :P
Yep. More so thinking out loud than just talking.
I only do it when I need to work something out quickly, talking to myself helps me think faster.
i dont not talk to myself but i dont talk myself often which category do i tick oh mighty op ?
i dont not talk to myself but i dont talk myself often which category do i tick oh mighty op ?
Option 2 obviously. [editline]dude[/editline] I did not see the double negative there, I still think option 2.
Not a whole lot. I tend to do it more when I'm under a lot of stress.
Find myself chatting to myself when I'm walking about. Have to stop myself.
I often have moments like this;
I argue with myself, I take the role of someone I know and mimic their way of thought and argument and battle it out. Or I imagine I'm a professor and I'm explaining shit to a crowd. Or just random chitchatting. I get fucking pissed when I lose in arguments to myself, though.
I don't vocally talk to myself, but I do talk to myself often in my head.
I always do when I'm mapping. "No god dammit not there. ok gotta move that and... oooover there. lets see func.... door.... toggle... ugh no fuck you hammer..."
I do just not when I'm with people.
Just if monologues count(i say stuff out loud when i am alone to myself or think about them in my head)
I used too
Alot.
Rarely, but I do find myself commentating my Halo: Reach games in silence (in my head) A bit weird, but whatever [editline]5th September 2011[/editline]
Yes, I do. I have conversations with myself in my mind as well.
Occasionally do this too
I analyze situations in my head? Is that talking to yourself? Or are you reffering to the act of phyiscally speaking to ones self?
When I'm alone, I vocalize EVERYTHING. I sometimes find myself in the kitchen singing R. Kelly style about everything I'm doing. "And then I goooot the haam from the friiiidge! Gonna tooooaast me uuuupp some breeeeaaadd! It's saaaaaaaaaammmmiiiiccchhh tiiiiiimmeeee!!!" My neighbors must think I'm insane.
You're not crazy if you talk to yourself, you're crazy if you get an answer.
Wait so this is bad?: "Hmm I wonder what I should have for lunch" "Chicken or tuna?" "Hmmm...chicken" That happens all the time in my head
Wait so this is bad?: "Hmm I wonder what I should have for lunch" "Chicken or tuna?" "Hmmm...chicken" That happens all the time in my head
that's probably normal. From what I can tell a lot of people reason in the format of a conversation, I would find it hard not to.
I voted no because I thought it was really talking with your mouth. that'd be really psycho. But if its in your mind I think everybody does? Or how else would they think like? Sometimes I am thinking to myself like: "I have to move that chair" but I get my own intention before I finish the sentence in my mind so I just think, should I finish the sentence so I can get myself? When I actually already did?
I tend to Argue with myslef a lot. It gets o bad I usually dont have lunch as I cant decide at all what to eat.
When I'm playing the PS3 I talk to the game sometimes, not really to myself.
