Theres a LOST promo contest going on at ABC. You have a choice between the crappy online editor or you can use your own. However, you have to download all the clips/audio/pictures from their website. After downloading everything, I opened a couple of clips up and they played and sounded just fine. But, when I import them into Premiere Pro, the audio is wacky. Most of the time, they sound like they are talking in slow motion. The background noises and sounds are deep and not natural. There's a couple of clips with Locke where his voice doesn't even make any noises. Adobe is saying that the clips are 22050 Hz - 16 bit - Stereo. I think, the Quicktime player is saying that they are 44.100 kHz. I don't know anything about audio, so i'm not sure if these are normal.
I have tried, countless times, importing other videos and music that I have on my computer. They all sound normal and fine. I think it has something to do with a codec or maybe? I really have no idea. Any help guys?
Idk if it's just Premiere detecting the wrong sample frequency, but just change the project settings to what Premiere detects it as, and i think it should be fine.

What do I change under Project Settings? Under Sequence settings I can change the Sample rate of the audio. I'm not sure if that does anything.
Just for kicks, I tried editing the video on another computer with Premiere. It does the same thing. I really have no idea what is wrong. I tried posting on their crappy forum, but I haven't received a reply yet.....
