I am wondering just what they are and would like some advice on them because I'm not sure which one to take.
Depends what you're in to.
Chemistry= Chemical reactions, elements, rocks and pH.
Biology= Anatomy, Natural selection, Evolution and pathogens.
I prefer Biology to be honest...
Are you doing this for GCSE? If so I'm doing both already :smug:
Are you more interested in the likes of what we are made of, how it happened, how different organisms work etc etc go for biology. Likewise for chemistry if you're more into studying about the likes of metals, fuels etc.

I've done both for GCSE, and i'm loving biology a lot more. Then again, maybe it's just because my teacher took part in Movember and is Glaswegian :v:
Actually if you are going to study biology at an university you are going to need to know alot about chemistry too.
Biology is pretty much about life, the human, your dna, organs, animals, plants etc
Chemistry is pretty much about substances, how they react to eachother, the kinds of atoms, how molecules are formed and the like
both are uninteresting for me, but if I had to choose, I'd choose biology over chemistry.
I'd choose chemistry if I were in your shoes. I mean, who wants to go on field trips, come back, and then dissect plants?
I study Animal Husbandry, apart for biology, it requires a lot of chemistry as well
Pretty much all the things, from physiology, to soil mineralogy are based on chemistry

I've already done 2 exams for it, got to resit my biology(D) but I fucking A'd my chemistry. Walked out the room with a feelsgoodman.jpg face after getting told I got an A.

I got A in chemistry, and B in biology, which pisses me off so much. (i was 2 marks off an A*)

I guess its a good thing I'm not. The good news is I will go with biology because chemistry sounds really boring.

Some parts of it a pretty good, while other parts horribly boring.
You could just do GCSE geography instead, it kicks ass and gets you laughs when it's a mixed ability class, me being one of the top students, in what places can you learn good geography and hear someone behind you ask weather global warming was caused by the credit crunch?
Chemistry is dull. Biology is interesting.
Physics master race
biology is more interesting imo
Biology is merely applied Chemistry.
I'd personally go with Biology any day. There's no way in hell I could memorize everything on the Periodic Table of Elements.
also, in biology you get to dissect things. chemistry doesnt involve cool stuff like that (though you do get to see some cool demos and do cool labs in chem too)
You'd be a fool to choose chemistry.
AP bio was my favorite class, if possible take both they look good for uni, and are not as hard as everyone says
chemistry so if i end up with cancer and need some money for chemo i can cook some meth and sell
