The most current drivers on my acer aspire 5732z laptop don't work. Every time I have installed them they have broken and the maximum resolution has gone down to 1024-768. It is the Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series express chipset family. this is really hindering my gaming experience as the previous version is really inefficient and makes pretty much all of my games run lousy. If anyone else is having or has had this problem please can you help? if you need any more information ask and I will try to get it for you.
Have you tried the latest ones directly from the manufacturers? Realtek and Intel's sites you could check at.

the error message on my video card driver was this
Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)

resolved the problem, had to completely remove all old driver software as it was clashing with some other files.
