The fact they're doing this is great. Considering the difference between Battlefield 4 and Battlefield 1, there should still be a healthy community on 4 for a long while, more so than Titanfall.
For people wondering, you can get them without owning BF4 in case you want to buy it later. At least it worked for me.

I didn't intend on buying BF4 at any point because of how expensive it would have been to get the DLC with the base game, but this legitimately made me buy a copy of the game. $20 is fair for the base game, and having all the DLC along with it for free is an awesome treat.

This should be plastered everywhere. I didn't pick up some of the Hardline dlc earlier this year because I assumed you'd need the base game and missed out on them. I'm hoping they do a similar thing for that game in the coming weeks, so like the 10 people still missing some of the dlc can get it.
Turns out you already get everything with EA Access(I got it for Need for Speed). Let's just hope I get to keep the DLC if I ever cancel my account in the future and choose to buy BF4

Oh neat.
I've been considering picking up BF4 despite the fact BF1 is about to come out. I expect the huge difference between the two will keep BF4 alive for a few more years, where BF3 died pretty quickly as BF4 is basically just an improvement across the board now.
How populated is BF4 still anyhow?

Still quite populated and you can find it for $5 on sale, but BF1 comes out next month.

BF4 should be able to keep a pretty healthy player base because of how different it is.

I'm pretty sure BF4 will have a longer lasting player base than 1 in the long run anyway.
I've heard rumors that with Battlefield 1 (And Titanfall 2) They aren't going to charge for the mappacks and shit for multiplayer. I so hope it's true. BF3 and 4 communities got split in half each time DLC came out. Now if I wanted to play 64 player hardcore conquest, there was only ONE server for me to play on

BF1 has a Season Pass, but like Battlefront there will be free content updates.
This has been a good day for video games. Tropico 5 with all DLC and BF4 with a bunch of DLC for less than 20€.
EDIT: Oh, and The Crew is free, haven't tried it but I do like racing games.
