Okay, I'm thinking about gettitng a custom made PC with a budget of 300-400 dollars australian.
I can choose to do the above option or I can upgrade my four year old PC
The specs for the old PC.
GPU: ati radeon hd 2600 pro sapphire.
CPU: Intel Pentium 4 2.8 ghz proccessor dual core.
motherboard: Asus P4S800
Sound Card: I don't know but something OK.
so should I upgrade or get a new computer?
I'd go new.
I'd go new.
I'm thinking of this graphics card VisionTek 900244 Radeon HD 4870 512MB 256-bit GDDR5
Is that a good card?
Which CPU would you reccomend?
I'd recommend you get more money. I just spent $900 on this rig which is a Quad/4890. I'm Australian. Get at LEAST $600. You can't survive on a Pentium 4 these days, that's what I upgraded from.
If you want a new computer you wont get much for 400.
Yeah my budget has been raised. To about 800-1000
Buy parts from MSY if you can, damn cheap.
Get new PC if you've got that much
New computer of course

What's wrong with Phenom IIs?
Buy AMD and ATI products.
Good performance with great price.
Intel and Nvidia are the way forward!
