• Xbox HDMI to DVI question...

Ok, so i picked up a HDMI to DVI cable for my xbox 360, and ran it to a spare computer monitor i had lying around. its bigger then my TV and the resolution is much better. So far its worth the like 15 bucks i spent on the cable. But here the problem. i have NO SOUND. i probably shound have thought of this before i got the cable but, im wondering what my opinions are here. IF there any way i could run my Xbox audio to my computer headphones, could i go out and buy a pair of those expensive headphones designed for xbox, or could i just plug a USB speaker system into the xbox. Whats the best solution?
You would need something along the lines of this. http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-HDMI-AV-Cable/dp/B000UODATY It plugs into the normal AV output with, so you can output standard stereo or optical to other audio equipment while using HDMI.
Nvm.
I don't know if it works on the Xbox (and it probably doesn't) but on the PS3 you can designate it to use HDMI for video but the standard A/V cable for audio, and then you can slap on a RCA-Minijack and hook up your computer speakers to it.
Just use the standard AV cable's audio jacks for sound.
The AV jacks, though a good alternative are turtle beaches , i have X1's, though i reccomend X41's, though they cost £150.00 :3:
