Hey Facepunch, I know there is a certain bias against laptops, even a gaming laptop, but they aren't given enough credit. There have been threads dedicated to posting your desktop, but I want to see what laptops you guys are rocking out there. The fact is laptops are holding there own in gaming lately, and not just alienware. Asus, MSI, Acer, and Gateway are producing some great products. And there are many others which may not be suitable for gaming, but are definitely performance laptops. Here is mine, an HP Dv6000. It isn't very good, but I do some light gaming, mostly source games. It is about a year and half old now. Eee 1000HA.
I've got an Acer Aspire One, 10.1" (smashed) screen, 160GB HDD, 1GB of RAM, 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU.
I have an Acer Aspire 5520g (lol acer) But I'm looking to get a t91 or a t101, I'll leave it until windows 7 comes out though so it'll come pre-installed and be a bit cheaper.
Acer Aspire One, not the new one though, the first gen. It has served me well. I do some gaming on it.
Acer Aspire One, not the new one though, the first gen. It has served me well. I do some gaming on it.
I was able to run GTA 3 on mine real good like.
Dell Latitude X300 (not my image). It can run GTA 3, and that's pushing it a bit.
Right now I'm playing: Deus Ex The Nameless Mod World Of Goo Plants vs Zombies DEFCON Should I pick up Warcraft 3?
I have OP's laptop.
I have OP's laptop.
Then you are epic.

My laptop beats all, in the business dept. IBM T-21 (Thinkpad) It has a "Powerful 7mb Direct X 7 - video card", a "Heavy Duty 800MH/z Pentium 3", "An enormous 256 megabytes of ram", and "A CRYSTAL sound card" The damn battery doesn't even work...
holy shit i've got the same laptop, too bad it broke
Acer 7720g (yes, acer, but it was cheap) it can run TF2 and COD4, but I'm saving for a build now. T5550 1.83 Ghz 256MB 8400M GS 2GB DDR 160GB HDD
I have OP's laptop.
So do i! but my one has a corrupt MBR :saddowns: I also have a Acer (lol at the acers in this thread) 2Ghz Intel Dual core nVidia 9600gs 512mb 3GB DDR3 ram 250gb HDD Plays GTA4 at 20-30fps on textures medium everything else on high. What's with all the "Post your" threads in PCHS lately?
I don't feel like taking a new picture. Dell Vostro 1000. It's big, heavy, and only cost me $400  (I don't travel a lot so portability isn't terribly important to me) Specs: 1.9 GHz AMD TK-57 CPU 1GB RAM Integrated Xpress 1150 graphics 80GB HDD Aero works surprisingly well on the integrated graphics.
i have OP's laptop, but it has stickers on the keys to look like a pirate face. except mine has a different AMD processor.
What's with all the "Post your" threads in PCHS lately?
They're just remakes of months old threads.
I'll post mine in a minute but my camera is charging so... <reserved>
HP dv6920ea. Visualy the same as the OP's, but with a Core2Duo, BluRay drive and bigger hard drive.
