I seriously still play it once or twice a week. Somewhere deep down inside I hope to see a similar game crop up on Kickstarter or something.
Spacebase DF-9 is kind of similar. Its sill an early build so it has some growing to do, but it looks promising.
Looking at the screenshots gives me a 90s/00s vibe. It's when the textures look just right and don't make the game look like a clusterfuck of tiny details.
