What, again?
Google said its security was not breached but indicated individuals' passwords were obtained through fraud.
Wait, does this mean they got phished? US officials falling for phishing scams? Really?
China has been hacking at Gmail accounts for the better part of this quinquennium [editline]1st June 2011[/editline] BBC being very very late again. Very slow news day.
China needs to fuck off.
This just in phishing = hacking.
There is no proof that hackers where from China. Might as well have been a 4way Jump, its impossible for google or secret services to see the difference. On top of that phishing is not hacking and the government officials should be fired for giving away there credidentials that easily. 4 way jump as in. Connect to a server in Rusia/China Connect to a different server in Rusia/China, connect to do target operation, Countries like China and Rusia don't give away information about network traffic to other countries.
THIS MEANS WAR!
Why the fuck do people like these even use services like that? Shouldn't they have their own internal safe setup? Even worse is that they weren't even hacked, just whipped by some phising. Them Nigerian kings with 10 million dollar promising you 5 millions if you jst fil in your creditt car informaton here.

Just idiotic.
Seriously, why are government officials allowed to use any public email services for anything important ? Just idiotic.
Tell me exactly where in this article does it say government officials use public email services for anything important? I highly doubt military personnel would use Gmail for communicating classified information - these are probably accounts used for civilian matters. Also, work sites with intelligence that require a security clearance more than likely have no internet access, or there is an extremely obvious delineation between computers with secure and insecure connections. Try Googling "SIPRNet" or "milnet".
Wait, how do we mean that the chinese GOVERNMENT is the one behind the hackings. It could be just their equivalent of 4chan or something doing this. edit: This recent media shit about CYBER WARFARE and CHINESE HACKERS are fucking mixing together in the minds of the people. edit2: Maybe if I phished enough Gmail accounts they would make a news issue of CYBER WARFARE ATTACKS FROM FINLAND.
