• Keyboard input nog recognized in both Windows and the BIOS

So i was playing Planet Coaster when i suddenly noticed that pressing the Esc key in-game brought up the windows menu, i quit the game and gave rebooting my pc a try and suddenly nothing works. - In the BIOS i cannot access the menu nor does it recognize any input - In windows i can press enter so it continues to the login screen but i cannot press anything else - When i managed to get the on screen keyboard to appear it still didn't recognize any input from the virtual keyboard! - Mouse works, keyboard doesn't with a few exceptions - Tried different keyboards - Numpad doesn't switch on Can someone help me with this? The is the weirdest bug/glitch i can't solve... Edit: Solved! The keyboard was broken (internally?), can you guess the brand of my keyboard? Find out below!
Plug the keyboard into a different port. And, that's quite odd. I'd almost wonder if it's malware. Hard to tell at this point, and if you can't get your keyboard to work it could be even harder to find out and clean.
I was about to suggest plugging it into a different port but then I noticed you said the virtual one doesn't work either, so that's confusing. Do you have any controllers plugged in? Is there anything unusual in the device manager? Are your regional settings and keyboard layout as they should be (that probably wouldn't affect the BIOS though) ?
Solved! So after two hours of trying a whole list of shit i came to the option of unplugging my current keyboard and switch to another keyboard without having the other plugged in, old and lo behold it works! Apparently the internal keyboard controller might have gone corrupt or so i was told by someone from another forum, what i did before with switching keyboards was simply plugging another keyboard into another USB port and try if it did anything but somehow my other (Razer) keyboard would produce the same buggy results if i let my old keyboard be plugged in. So that is solved! Goodbye Razer.. [t]http://i.imgur.com/hklD3Qc.jpg[/t] Note: This keyboard served me very well for 5 years
