I'm trying to play shattered horizon but everytime I join a server the screen goes black and I get an error saying "your graphics drivers had some problem, and they recovered"
So this prompts me to update my drivers, which I do. But upon returning to shattered horizon it runs like shit. I know this because the menu itself was lagging. I've always experienced this. Factory drivers work fine, but newer drivers always work like shit.
So facepunch, new drivers aren't working and neither are the old ones. What shall I do?
Do you have a DirectX 10 card?

Yeah here are my quick specs
Q6600
Geforce 9600 GT
2GB RAM
Powersupply related, i got the same problem on my ATI card. It dies too when i play Crysis on high dx10 mode for 10-20 minutes. You simply need a better powersupply.
The one I have is more that enough for my system. Just this dumb Nvidia troubleshoot window keeps coming up for no reason when it clearly is getting enough power.
I can play crysis just fine for as long as I want.
I'm telling you, it's the powersupply. Check on google yourself.
so pretty much that's my only option? I find it ridiculous that it's only happening to this game and this game only.

No it's not you dumbfuck.

have you tried to update the drivers? www.nvidia.com
yeah I tried updating my drivers to the lastest ones but they work like shit. For example I'd get 5 fps in CS:S when I usually get 200 etc.

there's really no point in fixing this problem with shattered horizon because the sale is over. I don't really feel like spending money on a game right now.
But there still is a problem I'd like to fix. I want to be able to update my graphics card drivers without getting shit performance. It's always been factory drivers>New drivers for me.
