It might work if you use some really hard superglue. Though I'd put some lines of superglue on the outside of the connector for reinforcement. You'll definitely want to be ginger with the connector after that though to avoid it breaking again.
Why not just buy a new jack? They aren't very expensive usually, and you seem to have the skills required to install it.
Just replace the jack, soldering them isn't that hard. A solder sucker makes it a million times easier too.
Replace it or it's gonna break again.
cyanolit - guarantee it won't break off again, ever, don't get this on your fingers.
