Can I "upgrade" from the RC to the full release or would I have to do a fresh install?

Well if he's like me, he probably highly recommends to not do *any* kind of upgrade because they just tend to break. (Ubuntu 8.04 -> 8.10, XP -> Vista, 7000 -> 7100, etc.)

It leaves leftover crap lying around. Performance degradation. And stuff tends to break.
