Does the version of iTunes you have affect your jailbreak at all?

I recently got a new computer, and I'm just now syncing my iPod Touch with it, but it's saying I need 9.2, even though I have 9.1 or whatever on my old one, and so before I updated I was gonna make sure it wouldn't fuck up my iTouch or my jailbreak. And yeah, I know this sounds like a stupid question, but it fucks with your iDevice if you use 9.2 iTunes with Spirit, and so I wanted to make sure the same wouldn't happen with Jailbreakme.
