Im looking for a RAID Controller that can manage a RAID 10 setup for a little project I am working on. Anyways here is a demonstration of RAID 10

also if your going to squak about price and cost, Im just using some of these and already have one that we got for free with the purchase of my dads new GPU/other compnetns. (No clue why) So yea, RAID controller that can handle raid 10 >300
First of all, thank you for the explanation, but we know what RAID 10 is
Second, how many drives are you planning to work with?
Third, Don't you have a X58 motherboard or something? It's perfectly capable of setting up drives in such array.
And of course, what is your budget?
you don't need a dedicated RAID controller for a small project like that, chances are you won't max out the one integrated into your motherboard and the extra load on your CPU definitely won't matter
motherboards sata cables are already used by a raid 1 and a raid 10 setup. (This is for large storage as you can see.)
Its a giant storage computer for my dads company basically a server.

RAID 10 is basically 1+0

if it's a large storage array what the fuck are you doing 10 for
Uh OP i dont think you need raid 10
More like RAID 1 ( forgive me its been awhile )

Security and speed and because it was requested, I honestly would just do raid 0 with 6 2TB HDDs
and I am aware it is 1+0

that is a terrible idea and your father is dumb
the point of servers is to be reliable and have a really long up time, RAID 0 is the exact opposite

yes
then what should I do, RAID 10 seems to be a pheasable option.
raid 1
How many drives can it support, all I know of is that it supports 2 drives
actually why are you even doing RAID just do JBOD or leave them all as normal hard drives
After looking into JBOD ill go with that, any other parts I need for it or?
lol 1 month ban
Why only a 1 month and not a permanent? He'll never stop trolling/being a dumbshit.
P.S. RAID 5 or 6 would be a better option.
