I ask because I accidentally installed windows on the same partion as my old broken copy & now I need to delete it, but CD does not read it as a valid copy of windows anymore, and windows will not delete it.
I need to know if there is a program to get around this.
IIRC, if you installed another Windows over your Windows, your old Windows will probably be named as Windows.old on your C Drive.

Well, that did not work, I do not have enough space to install Ubuntu, because of the stupid 15GB(?) folder, I even booted into DOS, still did not go away, the recovery console did not delete it either.
Please help, this has to be the most persistent problem I have ever had.

You can run Ubuntu off the CD without installing it.
