My favourite band would have to be "Brand New". Really genius use of lyric writing/singing in general. their songs tend to get stuck in your head too. linkage, my favourite video of theirs
Insomnium. In my opinion, a perfect band. Their music is enchanting, powerful, sorrowful and inspiring and more all at once, and they truly never get old or boring.
I honestly couldn't tell you my favorite band, only my favorite Slacker Radio station: Flobots Radio

In my opinion however the screaming is a little too frequent, almost overused. I enjoy it, but they're on the verge of annoying with the constant speaking in growls, that tends to only be saved for the chorus with my styles of metal.
Well, my favorite singer at the moment is Mara Carlyle. Her voice, it's so hypnotizing, beautiful, inspiring... She sets a certain mood that I really can't describe.
to name a favorite band is to deny so much good music. it's unhealthy.
Daft Punk. Their songs are awesome.

Nobody said it had to be one band. [editline]27th October 2010[/editline] For me it's Bob Marley, his music is beautiful and he was a fantastic person, did alot more for the world than people think.
I love lots of bands. The stand out has to be Weezer though. I have tons of their songs and it's all a great variety.
I can't name one band, although I can mention some favourites: Insomnium (Melodeath) A Dark Halo (Cyber-Melodeath) Solution .45 (Melodeath) Engmans Kapell (Irish-inspired North-Swedish Folk Rock)
