Too bad the game releases at the end of summer, not much time to play it before my next term commences.

This. I go back to college the 4th of september.
Better than having it released after summer vacation.
Which happens almost always, so I can't complain this time around.
Played the last beta weekend, holy fuck I can't wait.
Game of the Decade.
I really like the questing and all around a lot of the game.
But the spells arent very unique, a lot of them do the same thing but just have different names and different looking effects, I really think this is because of how simple the condition system is, this isnt for every spell.
The spells are way to flashy and really hard to tell them apart, and its not a fact of learning the game, its just wait too much shit going on the screen, thats something I thought WoW did perfectly, you knew what spell was from what class because they were all unique but simple.
There also hasnt been a lot of information from Arenanet on the endgame and almost nothing shown, now people can say that "oh well it scales so every things an endgame" or "PvP is the endgame" when its a really heavy PVE game as well.
Yeah you can go back to lower level dungeons and get decent loot because it scales, but that will get old real fast for a lot of people, this will take a few months being 80 but I can see a lot of people getting bored if their isnt enough PvE endgame that is level 80, im speaking dungeon wise.
I mean endgame is really what keeps the majority of people playing PvE wise, people wouldnt have played WoW for so long without a bunch of raids and max level dungeons.

I reserve 4-5 hours at the end of my day before I go to sleep to play guild wars 2. The rest of my time I'm at school studying and doing other real life stuff.
I don't see why you have to dedicate yourself 100% to college. But hey I don't live in the US so I don't know how it is over there.

Personally I found the spell effects fine, and I didn't have any issues with them after they toned them down a little bit.
Only time will tell about the endgame stuff for the game. But, having played guild wars since a little after release, I will trust Arenanet on this one.
So just to be sure, this is open world unlike the original Guild Wars' instanced system, right?
