I'm not sure what version of the Beta I'm running, I could check if somebody tells me how and that is important. But anyway my problem is I simply cannot upgrade from the beta to offical iOS 5. I've tried putting my Iphone 4 into DFU, manually restoring by holding shift and clicking the firmware, everything i could think of, but all I get is "the Iphone could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (3194)." and checking for updates just tells me im on the current version. If anybody knows anything, It'd be mighty' appreciated.
Are you running a beta with an unauthorized developer key?

If you are using the GM, there is no need to update. The build ID is exactly the same.
3194 would indicate that this is the server overload issue that Apple experienced (or is still experiencing?) when people try to update.
I would suggest downloading the IPSW file directly, using this link: http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/ (It downloads it from the Apple servers, so that will bypass the issue)

It's not their firmware download servers that are being overloaded, it's probably their signing servers that sign install requests. Downloading the IPSW manually won't make any difference, he just needs to wait.
Yeah I seemed to get it somehow. must have just been waiting I guess. I reinstalled Itunes, (again) and it just worked. Thanks for the replies though!
