Vista Home Premium 1GB RAM Display: Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family My game settings are the lowest possible. Can You Run It? says I can run it fine, but it just isn't doing... [editline]17th June 2011[/editline] (DX10) if that helps.
EE2 isn't DX10. So no, that doesn't help at all. The best thing for you, is to decrease the games global population limit. I had a PC with 1536MB, and it couldn't handle anything past 1000 in a global game, with all settings brought down to a minimum. Another thing is its heavily dependent on your CPU and RAM. The graphics aren't cutting age, but the Intel 965 isn't cutting edge by any means either (Infact, i'll just compare it to a MX440 which are on par in terms of performance). So slashing anything that might be taxing your CPU other than the game (like virus scanners, browsers, background applications that you may be running) and any applications sucking up RAM should be terminated prior to launching the game. Since files are everything, defragmenting your HDD will be recommended too as well. So do your basic windows tune-up (which should be done every 4-8months). -Defrag your HDD -Clean out Temps and other temporary files that aren't needed for the OS to use anymore -Clean out your registry/repair your registry -Virus, spy/mal/adware scan your PC and fix all the issues. -Update graphics drivers
