It was working absolutely fine, I leave it on when I go out, I come back and it has 'crashed' on "personalizing desktop" and the only way to boot is the 3 finger solute, half my shit doesn't work and itunes (surprise surprise) decides it's not going to work either.
I have Malwarebytes, Comodo, Spybot, CCleaner anda portable (and bootable) version of Nod32
I don't download crap... EVER and I never pirate (except the odd simpsons or southpark epesode once in a pink moon, last time I downloaded was 4 months ago)
I use my PC for work and I'd love to know what has gone wrong, I'm not sure I need to upgrade right away.
edit: not only that, ALL of my setting have reset, I seriously don't have time or effort for this stupid shit, how do fix plx.
No fix or solution???, goodbye pc, hello osx
Don't care about the mac or osx wars, don't care about windows is this or mac is that, My pc makes me money, I spent £7k on the fucking useless metal brick, I take my time to upgrade it, take care of it and it does this shit to me right when I dont need it

seriously sorry about the rant, I'm sure I don't need to upgrade yet i've only upgraded 3 months ago and theres people on my current project with dinosaurs
You definitely do not need to upgra- i must be retarded, but 20.0gb of RAM?
First things to check for are bad RAM, bad PSU or bad hard drive.. Run memtest86+, try a different PSU and use a low level scanner like spinrite to examine the hard drive.

Main hard drive is a solid state, it wont 'go bad'
Just because the drive is solid state, doesn't make it immune from manufacturing defects. EEPROMs can be or become defective just like any other storage medium. They also don't last forever, the EEPROMs will eventually wear out from use. The rate at which they wear out is subject to the load they're put under, though wear levelling algorithms slow this process down.

Do i sense multiple Anti-Viruses? :cop:
In your case its probably a faulty component, if your SSD supports S.M.A.R.T check its status
it does support S.M.A.R.T but doesn't report errors, I've left the Pc on and it's been fine since
Sounds like a corrupted Windows installation to me.
