• Looking to build a PC to stream video off of onto my TV

So instead of buying into the whole Hulu Plus crap, with $10/month fee, I was thinking of spending as little money as possible and hooking up a self-built PC to my 50" TV. So what's the cheapest that I can build a PC that all I would need it to do is to wirelessly connect to the internet, stream high-res video from Hulu, and plug into a PC port or an HDMI port in the back of my 50" Samsung Plasma?
1080p? [editline]06:15AM[/editline] If so, probably a dual core atom build would suffice ~300$
Grab an intel atom board, I'm pretty sure the ones with Nvidia ION can render/stream 1080p. The best part about the boards is their compactness. CPU/GPU/mobo all in one, just need a stick of RAM, a hard drive, and a case (DVD/Blu ray drive optional). Depending on the model, you may also need to get a wifi card. It would probably run you about $300 as well, but the case will be smaller (mini-ITX instead of ATX)

Go the Atom+ION route. If you choose to run Linux + XBMC you will get VDPAU Acceleration from the ION chip.
