I've got the ideal budget for a 660 but I CAN stretch for a 660ti and possibly score a copy of Borderlands 2 if I get it soon enough. The question I ask is, besides the tie-in game, is the difference between the two enough to warrant shelling out the extra cash and having less money left over for life things? Also, would my CPU (an AMD Phenom II X4 925 3.0ghz) just end up bottlenecking the 660ti or even the 660? Other than the possible CPU bottlenecking I know my current rig can scale up to either card.
If you're going to overclock the GTX660 then it will be slightly better than a 660ti at base clock speeds. Otherwise, you may as well get a GTX660ti and get the game as a little freebie for spending extra if you were planning on buying it once it comes out.
Here's a graph showing the difference:

I'm probably going to get a factory OC'd one either way. Thanks for the info.

That's not what I meant. I meant if you overclock it yourself, a GTX660 will outperform a GTX660ti.

Yeah, but I just seem to have bad luck with overclocking, so if I'm going for factory OC I'm basically comparing an overclocked 660 vs an overclocked 660ti.
I would go for the 7950 over the 660 or 660ti personally, also its around the same price range

It seems pretty good, and I'm sort of an ATI guy too, but that's *just* barely out of my budget. Thanks though.

I guess I searched around for the US equivalent on newegg and found higher prices. I'll probably just go for this once it comes out.
