Hello, I want to buy a new pc and I have a few question that I can't find answers online, I am thinking that someone here might help me.
Questions:
1. I want to get this case. On the Side what is better to use 4x12cm fans or 1x20cm fan ?
2. I don't play lots of games, most of the time I am playing MineCraft, Garry's Mod, Battlefield3. I am going to buy BF4 so I will play that to.
Which processor should I get i7 4770k or i7 4930k. I read some where that if you have i7 4770k at max or ultra settings you will have between 25-35 fps which I don't want.
4. I am going to use Nvidia GTX 470 for a while then I am going to buy a GTX 780. How big it will be the fps difference ?
This is what I want to get
Case: Aerocool X-Predador

GPU: Nvidia GTX 470
RAM: 32Gb Ram
Unless you're SLI-ing, you really don't need as much fans as you think you need.
I run three fairly low-rpm fans in my very enclosed Fractal R3 case, and it provides all the airflow my computer needs very quietly even with an overclocked GTX760 and i5-2500k stuck in there.
We have a subforum for this http://facepunch.com/forums/243
I think this is what I am going to buy CLICK ME
It's better then i7 4770k and a lot cheaper then i7 4930k.
The think is that in my room it's hot and I want to keep my computer as cold as possible.
And they are giving the case with some fans included and I don't know which one would be better.

I didn't see it, sorry.

wait it says 4830k and 4930k and 3930k on the image
It's a bundle from scan.co.uk and I guess that is the title. But the cpu is i7 4820k
You don't need 32 GB of ram, 8 is enough.
You don't need 32 GB of ram, 8 is enough.
Au contraire, I'd recommend 16GB
Well it's not about how much I need, it's about how much I want and I want 32Gb.
Dude, your build is shit. Sorry to say.
First of all - don't get a LGA2011 CPU for gaming, it's a goddamn waste of money. It won't perform any better in games than a 4770K (contrary to what you "read somewhere") and the platform is expensive as tits.
Second - instead of wasting all your money on before-mentioned CPU+motherboard, get the GTX 780 now, or move up to a GTX Titan or something. Gaming is (spoiler-alert) GPU bound for the most part, and that GTX 470 is just gonna be bottlenecking your system to hell.
Third - 32GB is just plain stupid. It doesn't matter whether you want it or not, it's simply a plain-old waste of money that could go elsewhere actually making your computer run faster.
And lastly, are you getting an SSD? If not, get one in there. Your build is unbalanced like hell, at least from what info you've posted here.
And build it yourself if you aren't already.
First of all - I've looked around and getting an i7 4930k it's a waste of money so I decided to go with i7 4820k.
Second - After I get everything in the pc I am going to buy a GTX 780 as soon as possible but there right now I don't have the money only for the cpu, motherboard, ram, watercooler for cpu, and maybe a 2TB HDD.
Third - Maybe getting 32Gb of ram it's to much but I still want 32, maybe I am stupid but I want them for some reason.
Fourth - Now that you mentioned I just remembered that I should get an SSD. Would it help the windows run faster if I install it on SSD ?
[editline]15th September 2013[/editline]
And I am not really building a gaming PC but I want to be able to play the new games really smooth.

Anything over a 4770k is overkill for gaming.
on the ram part:
I'd go with 16. 16 is enough even for video editing, or rendering stuff. If you just use the machine for gaming 32, and even 16 are overkill as hell.
Look into a SSD. I've bought 3 and not regretted any of my purchases. But, use the SSD for your operating system disk. I would recommend a size that's above 120gb, since if you are going for Windows 7 or above it will take at least 18gb of hard-drive space(something like this right? If I am wrong, please correct me).

The whole LGA2011 platform is really not suitable for gaming, since there's no real tangible change in game performance and the premium for LGA2011 motherboards. The 4820K is also a LGA2011 CPU.
Drop down to LGA1150, an i7 4770K and 8GB of RAM (16GB if you actually do serious video editing and such) and a GTX 770. Then get a ~250GB SSD. That's really my recommendation based on what info you've provided so far.
And if you're not gonna use this build for serious work (like video editing and such), the 4770K may even be a waste of body. If this is for gaming and general usage, an i5 4670K might even be more suitable. Remember, future proofing is a balanced build and money in the bank.
1. Why people keep recommending i5 4570k or i5 4670k since i7 4770k is more powerful.
2. My C drive is 100Gb, my windows is installed on it with all my programs and it never been full.
3. I also want 32Gb ram because I am using Cry Engine 3 and If I want to make a 256km map I will need a lot of memory. Maybe not 32Gb but why not.
4. How I said after I buy everything in max 2-3 Weeks I will buy the GTX 770.

1: Because you're not doing anything that actually requires the CPU nearly as much as the GPU. Saving money on the CPU allows you to spend it where it's more needed. Cryengine 3 isn't going to require all the power an i7 gives, so it'll be wasted.
2. That's a personal preference, so it's up to you
3. Why not? Because it's a waste of money! And you're saying you want to spend all that money for one map you might make? That's just a waste. Why not set the money on fire instead? At least then it would be entertaining.
4. That's fine, just know you won't be playing much of anything new until then.
Well right now I am not playing anything else then Gmod or Minecraft.
When watch dogs will be out I will have the GTX 770, until then I doubt I am going to play any game that really requires some power.

An i7-4770 (Or is LGA2011 variants) is not better for gaming than an i5-4670K The only real difference is tha adittion of hyperthreading in the i7. Which splits one core into 2 seperate threads. (Making 2 halve cores).
besides most games not supporting this, it also diminishes gaming performance as most games run better one 1 single core than 2 split cores.
The most common fix for bad FPS on the Planetside 2 forum is also for this reason: Disable hyperthreading.
Also It sounds like you just want to be 'Special' or have bragging rights or something. Because 32GB of Ram is just plain useless and wont serve you any purpose.
besides bragging rights. Besides: If you ever get above 8GB of RAM usage you can always add more sticks for the exact same price as buying them beforehand.
[editline]16th September 2013[/editline]
Also why do you come here asking for advice If you take none?
It's not like I am not taking any advice, I came here for answers. Most of you helped me, about the 32Gb of ram. I think you are right, I just want to be special and everyone is telling me that it's to much.
I know it is to much but it's like an obsession, I just want them.

Dude, we can't make you not buy 32GB, but could you please start out with 8 or 16GB? Then just monitor your RAM usage - if it turns out it's not enough, just buy some more later on. You'll get much more performance by buying a better GPU or SSD.
The thing that should blow you away the most is probably the SSD. They're so much faster than conventional mechanical HDDs, that you can't even compare it to other components. It's like the difference between a P4 and an i7.
Yeah, I decided to get 16Gb and get a GTX 770.
Yeah, I decided to get 16Gb and get a GTX 770.
And what about the CPU and SSD? I can promise you that an SSD will make a much bigger difference than an i7 compared to an i5.
I think I am going with the i7 4820k because I think I am going to record my videos and I will use sony vegas to render them.
My budget is limited for moment so I only have money for these things. But from the date I buy them in max 2 weeks I will get the SSD. I think to get this one

Something to consider when you talk about rendering:
http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/vegaspro/gpuacceleration
Many professional tools for editing or composing videos offer the ability to render videos with the help of the GPU using CUDA. The GTX-770 Supports this, and you can make use of it.

If you aren't doing professional stuff right now, the 4820K is just a needless upgrade - it isn't even that much of an upgrade. Seriously, believe me - a 4770K is going to be all you need. brt5470 is doing a lot of really heavy stuff, and he's still (to my knowledge) running a 2700K. He's not thinking about recording stuff and putting it on the internet, he's actively doing it, and to my knowledge it's how he gets his income.

Why do you say your budget is limited at the moment, but then you constantly insist on wasting part of it on the price premium of a 4820k? You could save yourself a small chunk of change by using a 4770k, which will show literally no difference in your usage. Or you could save even more money by getting a 4570k. Since you'll have a GTX 770, you can take advantage of GPU acceleration which will make up for any difference between the i7 and the i5. I think you're really overestimating how much your videos will require.

You are playing some normal games and recording some normal movies. You dont need a top of the line pc's.
@GoDong-DK - Maybe there isn't a big different between them but the price is £20. Just because I am not playing very powerful games that doesn't mean I don't want high fps. Soon I will get BF4 and Watch Dongs and I want high fps. the i7 4770k it's 3.4Ghz and i7 4820k it's 3.7Ghz what big is the different for FPS ? Maybe I will over clock it.
@Trelomtpsj - When I said my budget is limited I didn't ment I can spent max £800. In 27th I will have £600 in october I will get another £250 atleast then I will get more so It's not like limited but the money are coming slowly.

Just when I thought this thread couldn't get any funnier.
