So i need to make a 3d model of something, and it needs to have real dimensions, as in inches etc. not "units". What 3d modeling program would you all suggest?
Talking about warez is forbidden on fp. If you want an easy and legal free program get google Sketchup.

What warez? Where did i mention warez?
get google Sketchup.
My brother used this for his civil engineering course. Seemed to be pretty accessible.
Sketch-up is great. I've learned to use Autodesk Inventor, and, although it can do be bad at some things, it is very funtional. OP, what sort of CAD drawings are you doing?

There was a mention of him torrenting non-free programs. He edited it out. Doesn't appear the FP mods got to him on time.

We use ProDesktop at school. It's quite efficient, has it's limitations though, but If you want to do 3d modelling use maya or 3ds max, There is also AutoCAD.

I found Pro Desktop easy to use and pick up, but the graphics arnt that great as there is no AA in the final render
As a few others have said, Prodesktop is really easy to use, but it doesn't look that impressive at the end.
