I mean, no real need to continue using it after both the hype and memes have completely died. Everyone who really wanted to play it and could afford it already bought it, presumably.
It's also been cracked since the first day or 3 of release anyway
The updates were also cracked.
There was simply no need for it anymore.
More game companies should do this. Anti-piracy software is reasonable when it's there to protect sales in the first few weeks after release (as long as it's not overly restrictive, of course), but once it's been cracked it's effectively pointless. It'll eventually just screw legitimate customers somehow years later.

People don't seem the understand.
Denuvo is NOT DRM. It's anti-tamper. Basically it makes hard to tamper with ram (afaik) so it's more difficult to find exploits to get around the drm already in place.
It effectively kills modding since you cant tamper with the exe ( which a TON of mods do )
Wow I completely forgot I bought this. I might give it a play.
It requires online activation before you can start your game. That seems pretty DRM-like to me. They can call it whatever they want for marketing purposes.
DRM+, the next generation!

Exactly, and when the servers go down you can either wait for a patch to remove it or search for a crack.
People should just remember how Windows simply dropped the support for Securom and SafeDics and you can't play many games if you have updated Windows 7 or have newer Windows versions. Many people are not even aware that is the reasons their old games don't work. And since many of the developers of those older games simply went out of business, you can only hope someone cracked it back in the day.
