Then don't have your potions heal instantly?
yeah what a challenge itd be really something if we ironed out our gameplay challenges during the development of the game and didnt treat the pc release as a beta test huh guys weiRD ITS LIKE WE'RE MAKING VIDEO GAMES OR SOMETHING ??????????????????????????? this is fucking embarrassing, blizzard.
Also they already made 3 games that pretty much all have the same mechanics, so would they have noticed shit like this by now?
Then don't have your potions heal instantly?
Would only fix one damage mitigation response when there are roughly a dozen, the thread in the article even has a handy list of just how many tiny healing effects a character can cumulatively have without even considering class skills. Most video games these days launch with imperfections. Blizzard just likes to interact with their community and put their thoughts in blue posts on the forums.
At least they're actually aware the game has problems, unlike a certain unlike a certain man whose name rhymes with Dandy Kitsch Bird.
It took them a year to realize the game has problems, it'll be great when they actually start fixing it next year.
Don't be so hasty about your purchases.
It's not like Blizzard has one of the best track records of all time or anything.
Because this game has supposedly been in development for over 10 years, and this a pretty fundamental imperfection.
The current iteration has been around for half that time. Before that it was an entirely different game being handled by a different studio and publisher. And yes, arguably the balance between player survivability is a fundamental problem but its certainly not one that is unique to Diablo 3. Most RPG's struggle to maintain a perfect balance between a players health bar, the enemies attacks which lower it through spike or steady damage, and the multitude of ways that players can regain said health. Path of Exile has experienced a constant up and down of player survivability as it has been developed.

"Let's switch around some game mechanics that are pretty solid, to keep things original" *1+ year later* "Oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck what have we done"
At least they have been improving the game since the release.
"Let's switch around some game mechanics that are pretty solid, to keep things original" *1+ year later* "Oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck what have we done"
More like: " Let's keep switching game mechanics around over and over until we find something that wor- oh god it's the release date!"
Diablo 2 is still much better.
Diablo 2 is still much better.
Too bad Battle.net for Diablo 2 is nearly dead. :( [editline]26th September 2013[/editline] 10,000 people in USWest, half sit in the chat rooms all day, and half of what's left are bots spamming for websites.
